Prof. Julian Korab-Karpowicz (Zayed University)
Date: 7th March 2018 (Wednesday)
Venue: Government Innovation Hub (Crescent Building)
The seminar is related to a recent book by Prof. Korab-Karpowicz, The Tractatus Politico-Philosophicus. The main objective of the Tractatus is to demonstrate the necessity of, and provide a guide for, the redirection of humanity. It argues that this paradigm shift must involve changing the character of social life and politics from competitive to cooperative, encouraging moral and intellectual virtues, providing foundations for happy societies, promoting peace among countries and building a strong international community. The book tries to show that the essence of politics is not a struggle for power, which can only be its derivative meaning, but rather the ability to organize society for cooperation and actualize a good life. Also, it tries to remind humanity of its high task, which is moral and intellectual perfection, and to advance human evolution.
